Shaun Osborne has been a police officer for 11 years, having worked at the Sturt Local Service Area as a uniform patrol officer and a Detective.
Shaun was one of the main investigators involved in the Sam Davis case during 2008 and 2009 and now works as a police investigator attached to
the office of the South Australian State Coroner.
He is actively involved in community activities, motor racing and tinkering with far too many cars and motor bikes.
Peta McCance grew up on Kangaroo Island and moved to Adelaide in 1989 to further her education. Following completion of her university
studies at Flinders University Peta has worked for the past 15 years as a Chartered Accountant and as an advisor to small businesses and individuals.
Peta is married to Stewart and has 2 young children, Alicia, 6 and Connor, 2. Besides spending time with her family, Peta’s main
personal interest is sport. Peta grew up in a family of sports-lovers and is self-confessed sports fanatic, playing and watching
sports at every opportunity.
Peta is the Liberal Party Candidate for the electorate of Mitchell with a particular focus on addressing issues affecting local families.
Having spent so many years enjoying the beauty of Adelaide’s Southern suburbs she is dedicated to ensuring that future generations can
continue to enjoy the lifestyle there.
Kate Ridley
Kate Ridley is a Senior Lecturer and Program Coordinator at the School of Education, Flinders University, where she teaches exercise
science and research methodology topics. Kate holds a PhD in Human Movement and is passionate about researching and promoting physical
activity in young people.
Kate supports the Sammy D Foundation’s mission of providing and supporting sporting opportunities for young people, as playing netball
for many years has gained her many of her closest friends and has certainly had a positive influence on her both physical and
psychological well being.
Kate is delighted to be a part of the Sammy D Advisory Team as she strongly supports the Foundation’s mission and aims.
Louise Small 
Louise Small is the SA/NT State Manager of national mortgage broker, Mortgage Choice, a publicly listed entity. With some 20 plus years
in the finance industry, she has held senior banking and finance roles as well as business development and leadership roles. Louise
currently is an associate member with the accredited mortgage industry body MFAA.
Coupled with her finance career Louise has played and coached netball at the top level. She captained Matrics netball club to their
inaugural State League premiership in 1997 during which time she also represented Australia for indoor netball taking her to England,
South Africa, Fiji and New Zealand. She first coached at the age of just 16 and that passion and desire to help, guide and teach others
culminated in her role as Assistant Coach for the Adelaide Thunderbirds during the last two years.
Louise has experienced first-hand the positive influence sport can play in the lives of young adults and is delighted to be part of a
foundation which gives hope, guidance and education to the youth of today.
Andrew Marks
Andrew Marks has been teaching primary school for the past 20 years and is currently employed at Immanuel Primary School teaching
a year 5 class. He has developed a drug policy at 2 of his schools and has been involved with the health directorate as part of ACHPER.
Andrew is married to the wonderful Jane and between them have 4 wonderful children. Andrew has a great love for football and cricket
where he played for a number of years. He is currently an under 18 assistant coach as West Adelaide football club and is helping out
with an under 16’s side at the West Torrens Cricket Club.
The opportunity to be involved in the Sammy D Foundation is an absolute privilege. Any opportunities where you can help provide
young people with opportunities, direction and purpose is always worthwhile as they are our future so therefore the well being of
the young is paramount to our society.
Mike George 
Mike George is a Middle School Assistant Principle at Parafield Gardens High School, in Adelaide’s Northern suburb, where he has
taught PE for 5 years. His professional life has taken him to Orroroo, in the Mod North of SA, where he co-wrote a health initiative
focused on educating adolescents about the dangers of drinking and drug use by working with the local community.
He spent 18 months in London teaching and pursuing his other passion, cricket. Mike is passionate about youth, sport and the community
– he has Captained the Brighton Cricket Club since 2006, is an active member of the Brighton Sports and Social Club, has won the World Cup
of Indoor Cricket in South Africa in 2000 and he currently coaches the SASRAPID Men’s Indoor Cricket team in his own time.
