Community Mentoring

We are currently seeking volunteer mentors in the Adelaide Hills regions such as Mount Barker & Murray Bridge Click here to register your interest for volunteer mentoring.

Our Community Mentoring Program provides one to one support for a young person who may be experiencing some level of disadvantage, social isolation or is in need of a positive role model. The young person must be aged between 7-17 years and living in metropolitan Adelaide.

Referrals can be made via schools, sporting clubs, community centres and various other agencies within both the private and public sectors.

Young people participating in this program are matched with a trained and highly motivated positive adult who volunteers their time to share life experiences, skills and knowledge, and assists the young person to set and reach their own personal goals.

In addition to completing our internal mentor training program, all community mentors are required to obtain a DHS Working with Children Check and undertake either a Responding to Abuse and Neglect (RAN) certificate or complete Child Safe Environment Training.

The mentor will work with a young person for up to two hours per week for a twelve month period.
