Charity golf day scores $2.8 million to assist children’s charities
The Liquor Industry Golf Club (LIGC) holds an annual golf day in February each year to support Children’s charities here in South Australia.
This year’s event for the LIGC CHARITY GOLF DAY will be held on MONDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2022 @ GRANGE GOLF CLUB – shotgun start at 7am!
There will be $70,000 from the 2021 Charity Day to distribute to our selected children’s charities which will be announced closer to the event.
The Charity Day is a key event on the hospitality golf calendar and has raised considerable funds over the past 20 years of approx. $2.8mill. It is attended by many industry businesses, providers and a gang of hoteliers who also volunteer their help on the day.
Exceptional on-going sponsorship has been assured by our major sponsorship partners in BankSA and Grange Golf Club to key corporates with Thomas Farm International, West End/Lion Beers, Coopers Brewery, Coca-Cola Euro Partners, CUB Premium beverages and many other allied liquor industry providers.
Rob Gillies, Chair of the LIGC Charity Day committee, understands what it will mean to the children’s charities who benefit from the funds this year.

Every year we have a record number of applications from various Children’s charities to seek funds from our event, and we will again endeavour to assist those charities most in need.”
The day will celebrate these charities and move towards the landmark $3mill raised.
