Sammy D Foundation announces new CEO

The Sammy D Foundation announces new CEO: Jannine Jackson

The founders and board of The Sammy D Foundation are excited to announce the appointment of Jannine Jackson as their new Chief Executive Officer.

Brett Duncanson, Chair of the board, said "Jannine’s wealth of experience across NFP sector aligns with the Foundation’s strategic direction to further grow the numbers of young people educated. Sadly, incidents of violence continue to occur in our community and our role of “prevention through education” is increasingly called upon by our schools and community in general. The board looks forward to working closely with Jannine and our team at the Sammy D Foundation.”

Jannine said "I am thrilled and delighted to join the Sammy D Foundation as its new CEO and can’t wait to start. With over 20 years of experience in leadership and a deep passion for young people and a world without violence, I am inspired and excited by the foundation's vision. I am looking forward to working alongside our dedicated team, partners, and supporters to make a lasting and positive impact."

Jannine will be commencing her role in early 2025.
